What is folioing?
In hotels, a folio is an invoice or bill given to guests containing their charges. In accouning, folioing is numbering invoices sequentially for bookkeeping purposes.
For a hotel’s front office agent, she knows that a folio is printed with a unique number every time a guest settles his/her bill and it has every individual posting in it, and she doesn’t care about the accouting side of it.
